Cybersecurity Week – May 5–8, 2026

During the week of May 5–8, 2026, Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ) – the only European Digital Innovation Hub in Romania’s North-East Region, recently awarded the STEP Seal of Excellence for the “Made in North-East | EDIH 2.0” project – is organizing Cybersecurity Week, in partnership with  Ventures’n’Law, MERIT, CAMPUS and GRC Community.

Four complementary events will cover the legal framework (NIS2, AI in the workplace), funding opportunities, international collaboration through the MERIT network, and a regional dialogue on the balance between AI innovation and security.

Spanning from Romania – at  Fab Lab 3 and the TUIASI Innovation Hub in Iași – to Trento, Italy, and online, the agenda brings together legal experts, financiers, researchers, and CISO practitioners. On the second Friday of May, Digital Innovation Zone creates the perfect space for authentic conversations in an informal and friendly setting (Innovation Coffee). The 3rd edition features two elite speakers ready to debate a vital theme: AI between Risk and Innovation. How to harness the potential of artificial intelligence without ignoring security, ethics, and compliance risks.

In conclusion, Cybersecurity Week reflects the way DIZ has been building its program for the past six years—Test Before Invest, Skills, Access to Finance, and Innovation Ecosystem—all present throughout the four days. This confirms the strategic role of EDIH hubs as a “translator” between EU directives and the reality of an SME, a public hospital, or a town hall in the North-East region. For entrepreneurs, managers, and public decision-makers, the week offers a rare package: legal clarifications, funding information, international networking, and an authentic discussion about cybersecurity with top practitioners.

Participation is free of charge via the registration links dedicated to each event.

We look forward to seeing you!
