Project objective: 

To ensure a smart, sustainable and coherent digital transformation in the North-Eastern Romania region through the operation and successful provision of a complete set of EDIH Digital Innovation Zone [DIZ] services that will have a direct impact, by 2025, in over 100 of SMEs and public institutions, active in the production and health sectors (relevant sectors with growth potential according to the North-East RIS3), will be developed and delivered during the project (and after it). 

Expected results: 

The specific objectives of the project

1. OS1: Support local SMEs and public health institutions to access, in a timely and informed manner, high quality digital innovation services offered by the DIZ and EDIH networks.
2. OS2: Provide local SMEs and public healthcare institutions with access to relevant pre-investment testing facilities, and exploration opportunities in the areas of AI and other key enabling technologies [KET], to understand their feasibility and impact on the business.
3. OS3: To act as a digital observer of the region, ensuring the development of regional, national and EU relations, actively connecting technology providers, digital experts, local actors (regional authorities, clusters, etc.) with their peers in the EU, through network synergies EU (such as EEN) by providing political support at regional and international level.
4. OS4: To provide local SMEs and public health institutions with the necessary skills and know-how to successfully implement a digital transformation process or to increase their level of digital maturity, through digital skills and culture programs and access to financing programs adapted to their needs.
5. OS5: To improve EDIH digital transformation capabilities by training and hiring highly qualified digital experts in the region, ensuring synergies between the competencies of EDIH consortium members, improving service delivery methodologies and work flows.
6. OS6: To effectively communicate the vision and strengths of EDIH and ensure visibility, recognition and regional awareness of its activities and services.
7. OS7: To further integrate the EDIH consortium into the regional business and innovation ecosystem, in partnership with interested parties, local actors, multipliers and businesses, to generate synergies and complementarities for the benefit of SMEs and public health institutions.
