At the end of September, Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ) represented Romania at InnoHealth Forum 2025, held in Larissa, Greece, a landmark European event dedicated to innovation in healthcare that brings together startups, universities, researchers, investors, and industry leaders.
DIZ’s participation, alongside two ecosystem partners Inatech and ”Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău demonstrated that Romania’s North-East region is becoming an emerging hub of healthcare innovation, capable of generating competitive technological solutions at the European level.
Inatech – smart solutions for medical confidentiality and efficiency
Inatech, a company specializing in software research and development, drew attention with an innovative intelligent transcription solution for medical conversations, fully operable offline.
This technology addresses the real needs of healthcare professionals, offering high accuracy, efficiency, and full protection of patient data.

Participation in this prestigious forum enabled Inatech to engage with industry leaders, representatives of investment funds, and to present a product that tackles challenges related to confidentiality and efficiency in the medical sector. By demonstrating the capabilities of this intelligent system, Inatech emphasized its commitment to improving healthcare services through advanced technology. The event was an opportunity to explore new partnerships and to contribute to the evolution of digital health solutions,” the Inatech team noted.
With offices in Iași and Botoșani and an R&D center in Germany, Inatech develops AI, embedded, and cloud solutions for multiple industries, contributing to the digital transformation of the regional innovation ecosystem.
“Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău – education and innovation in support of health
Representatives of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău presented a series of innovative digital applications at the InnoHealth Forum, developed by dedicated faculty members and students:
- Aphasia, an application created by student Daniel Anghel-Cioclu (Occupational Therapy), designed for people with communication deficits;
- RM Digital, an audio tool for playing educational materials;
- 3D/AR Human, an interactive augmented reality platform for learning anatomy.
