Between 20–24 October 2025, Iași becomes the national hub of collaboration between health, technology, and innovation by hosting two events dedicated to innovators in health and technology: the Technology Transfer Festival – HealthTech Connect Iași and the AI4MED Conference: Personalized Medicine in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
The festival is organized in partnership with the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași (TUIASI), the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iași (UMF), the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (UNSTPB), and “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași (UAIC), while the AI4MED Conference is organized by Imago-Mol, Digital Innovation Zone, TUIASI, UAIC, UMF Iași, the North-East Regional Development Agency (ADRNE), and Strongbytes. Both events bring together in Iași researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and representatives of the medical community from across the region.
In this edition, Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ) plays a central role in facilitating dialogue between technology and health, offering participants access to European digital solutions, learning opportunities, and direct connections with field experts.

DIZ & HealthTech Connect – where innovation meets practice
Throughout the entire week, the DIZ team will be actively involved in multiple key activities, adding value to the regional ecosystem through expertise, networking, and European digital tools.
1. Tech & Innovation Expo for Smart Hospital

Within the HealthTech Connect conference, Digital Innovation Zone will be present alongside beneficiaries and ecosystem partners, showcasing solutions and best practices for the digitalization of hospitals and medical services. Participants will discover innovative technologies with direct applicability to smart healthcare.
2.Workshop: Innovation & Technology Transfer Using the AI-on-Demand Platform

Organized by Digital Innovation Zone in partnership with AI-on-Demand, the workshop offers a hands-on perspective on one of the most important European digital infrastructures dedicated to artificial intelligence.
Participants will learn how to use the platform’s resources for free—AI models, datasets, testing tools, and expert communities—to accelerate innovation and digital transformation in health and research.

3.Pitching Session: HIZ by DIZ – Health Innovation Zone

We will host a dynamic pitching session where you can discover “made in North-East” solutions contributing to the digitalization of healthcare. Companies from the DIZ ecosystem will present innovative technologies addressing real challenges in the medical sector.
4.Networking Session: Meet the Innovators
