The final event, DEMO DAY of the Health Innovation Zone program ( HIZ by DIZ ) took place within „Clusters meet Regions”.
9 of the 12 teams participating in the program presented the prototypes of the health tech solutions they worked on during the 6 months in which the program took place.
About the Health Innovation Zone program
HIZ by DIZ was the first pre-validation program for innovative healthcare solutions. Held over 6 months, in a format of design thinking and mentoring sessions, benefiting from the know-how of experts from EIT Health, Universitatea Tehnică „Gheorghe Asachi” din Iaşi și Centrul de Inovare și Transfer Tehnologic – MAVIS.
How the Health Innovation Zone program worked
The program started in June 2023 with the registration of participants, shortly after which Pitching Day took place.
Pitching Day was an exciting and energetic event, bringing together 15 teams of young innovators in one place. The purpose of this event was to select and integrate these teams into the program.
Workshops, design thinking sessions, mentoring sessions and Prototyping day, a public event attended by members of the business environment, took place during the 6 months.
The program teams represented the Digital Innovation Zone at two of the most prestigious conferences, How to Web and Codecamp.
At the end of the program, although all the teams were winners, 3 of them stood out for their results, being awarded accordingly:
EzyMem team – 1st place
TremorSense team – 2nd place
Medtech team – 3rd place
