Thursday, October 30, 2025, the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași (TUIASI), hosted the official launch – Kick Off Meeting of the xDIH – Cross Border Digital Innovation Hub program, a cross-border European project carried out in partnership with TUIASI, ACETI – Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies, Technical University of Moldova and Digital Innovation Zone.
The program is funded by Interreg NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova and aims to support the development of digital skills and cross-border collaboration, through modern learning infrastructures, innovative curricula and shared expertise.
The launch event took place within the Romania-Republic of Moldova Cross-Border Projects Conference, alongside Cristina Baghiu – Digital Innovation Zone Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Simona Caraiman – Vice-Rector for Informatization and Digital Communications at TUIAȘI and xDIH Project Manager, as well as our partners from the Republic of Moldova, Ion Coșer – Consul General of the Republic of Moldova in Iași, Ion Bodrug – President of ACETI, Daniela Pojar – Vice-Rector for Finance and International Relations, Technical University of Moldova.
xDIH – Cross Border Digital Innovation Hub marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration for a common digital future, in which education, research and technology become bridges for development between regions.
