During 20–24 October 2025, Iași became Romania’s national hub for collaboration across health, technology, and innovation, hosting two major events: the Technology Transfer Festival – HealthTech Connect Iași and the AI4MED Conference: Personalized Medicine in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
Digital Innovation Zone – strategic partner of change
The Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ) team played an active role in this innovation-focused week as a strategic partner, bringing forward European digital solutions and building bridges between research, entrepreneurship, and the medical sector.
From the Tech & Innovation Expo for Smart Hospital and the Workshop: Innovation & Technology Transfer Using the AI-on-Demand Platform, to the pitching session “HIZ by DIZ – Healthcare Use Cases,” the DIZ-coordinated events brought together innovators, companies, start-ups, and medical specialists, creating a real framework for turning ideas into practical solutions.
At Digital Innovation Zone, we believe progress happens when people collaborate. That’s why our role is to connect key stakeholders and give them access to resources that help transform healthcare through technology.
Connecting ideas, people, and technologies
Among the members and beneficiary companies of Digital Innovation Zone that took part in the festival—and even showcased their projects, especially at the Tech & Innovation Expo—were: Apollo AI Technology, Displify, Inatech, Sport Tech Recovery, Axa Medical Prolife, and Senior Assist Pro by Eweb Optim.
Through the activities carried out during Health Innovation Week, Digital Innovation Zone demonstrated that collaborative innovation and technology transfer are essential to building a smarter, more accessible, and more inclusive healthcare system.
The festival was organized in partnership with the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași (TUIASI), the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași (UMF), the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (UNSTPB), and “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași (UAIC); the AI4MED Conference was organized by Imago-Mol, Digital Innovation Zone, TUIASI, UAIC, UMF Iași, the North-East Regional Development Agency (ADRNE), and Strongbytes.
