ORoLoC-3D (Optimized Routing with 3D Loading Constraints) is an innovative software solution that optimizes the transportation of boxes (cuboids) of various sizes and weights for multiple destinations, assuming on-demand availability of delivery trucks.

The main characteristics of the problem are:

  • one truck can deliver to multiple destinations;
  • each truck satisfies all requirements imposed by international road regulations (e.g. maximum total weight, axle weight distribution, vertical stability etc.) after each intermediate unload.

 

Using this solution, the delivery cost is optimized by maximizing the weight carried by each truck while minimizing the total travel distance of the trucks.

1) Innovation ecosystem

  • Support for VInnovate partnerships – Digital resource platform (gateway) report (a shortlist of potential partners from other VInnovate regions – profile in Gateway and other tools made available online by VInnovate) + International Tech Synergy Services (international matchmaking);
