Kick-off Meeting of the Working Group on Aligning TRA Methodologies

The Working Group on Aligning Technology Readiness Assessment (TRA) Methodologies has officially launched on 22 September 2025 , bringing together experts from across Europe. The initiative aims to harmonize TRA practices, create consistency in evaluation criteria, and prepare practical guidelines to strengthen comparability across sectors.

By aligning methodologies, the group seeks to empower innovators, policymakers, and investors with clear, reliable, and actionable insights to accelerate technology adoption and innovation impact.

The kick-off meeting brought together contributions from experts representing Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Greece.

These interventions from digital innovation hubs, research institutes, and sector-specific initiatives created a strong baseline for comparative analysis and alignment. Over the coming months, the working group will continue its structured process, moving from exploration and analysis to drafting and finalizing guidelines.

This initiative marks an important milestone in building a shared European approach to technology readiness assessments.
