Dr. Emilia Tantar is the Chief Data and AI Officer at Black Swan LUX, a spin-off of the University of Luxembourg, which he co-founded in 2015. He previously held the position of Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer at INCERT G.I.E. and led PwC Luxembourg’s efforts in the field of AI, as Senior Manager. From May 2023, he is part of the National Scientific and Ethical Consultative Committee for Artificial Intelligence in Romania, elaborating the national strategy in the field of artificial intelligence. From 2022, she is also the representative of Small Business Standards (SBS) in AI standardization.

Dr. Emilia Tantar has over 20 years of experience in delivering AI to the business market and public institutions such as the European Commission as a researcher and strategic consultant. Emilia is a member of the European ICT Standardization Observatory WG on AI, where she co-authored TWG-AI’s EUOS report: Landscape of AI Standards, June 2021. She is a Forbes Ignite contributor, has edited 7 volumes in Springer, and is the author of over 20 of magazine articles and scientific articles, collaborating with entities such as the World Economic Forum (WEF) or the Atomic Energy Commission (ECA).

He is also a reviewer and evaluator for the European Commission.
