The 11th edition of the ANIS Gala – a landmark event in the Romanian technology industry brought together representatives of the digital ecosystem: entrepreneurs, representatives of IT companies, innovators and supporters of education and research.
Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ) was an active part of this edition through the significant contribution of our colleagues: Simona Caraiman and Cristina Baghiu.
Participation in the ANIS Gala jury
Simona and Cristina were members of the jury for the categories:
- Startup of the Year;
- Education Program of the Year;
- Software Product of the Year.
This involvement highlights the active role that DIZ plays in supporting and evaluating digital initiatives in Romania.
DIZ ecosystem, present in national competitions
6 companies from the Digital Innovation Zone ecosystem were nominated for the ANIS Gala 2025, and of these, 2 were selected as finalists. This result reflects not only the quality of products and services developed in the region, but also the constant efforts of DIZ to support digital development and innovation.
Cristina presented the award for the Best Local Software Product, in a close competition, with 10 candidates, of which 2 came from the North-East Region and the DIZ ecosystem.
ANIS International Summit
ANIS International Summit reached its second edition, bringing together representatives of European institutions, industry leaders, innovation hubs and leaders from the academic area. The event included a series of panels and interventions that addressed strategic themes related to digitalization, research, entrepreneurship and financing.
Simona took the stage during the “Funding for Innovation in Europe and CEE Region” panel, alongside representatives of European institutions, incubators and innovation networks.
The discussions focused on:
• funding opportunities for innovation in Central and Eastern Europe;
• The essential role of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) in digital transformation;
• How emerging regions can more efficiently access European resources for innovation.
Summit themes

The event provided a platform for the exchange of best practices between ecosystems in Romania and other European countries, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in accelerating digital transformation.
